The book “Supervision for Coaches— Quality Assurance for Coaching” will soon be published by SWP Publishing (Amsterdam).

From Manuscripts to dialogues

Some projects arrive quickly. Others take years of thinking, writing, testing ideas, and refining perspectives.

This month, two arrive together — and that is not a coincidence: the book and a webinar-series:

The Book

Supervision for Coaches: A Quality Assurance for Coaching  will be published by SWP Publishing (Amsterdam), a leading scientific and educational publisher serving professionals in the social, educational, and organizational fields.

This is a comprehensive handbook on coach supervision: its conceptual foundations, historical development, inherent dilemmas, ethical challenges, professional standards, competency frameworks, training requirements, models of practice, and the role of professional associations.

Academically grounded, thoroughly researched, and written with one clear purpose: to support high-quality professional practice.

The was co-authored with @Louis van Kessel. What began as a joint article in the international Journal Organisationsberatung, Supervision, Coaching (OSC) in 2024, led to the Dutch book “Supervisie voor Coaches—een kwaliteitswaarborg voor coaching” (publisher Kloosterhof) in October 2025. This evolved into the English edition  “Supervision for Coaches: A Quality Assurance for Coaching” (2026), which is not simply a translation. It is an expanded, refined, and strengthened work.

Whether you are a coach, supervisor, educator, trainer, researcher, or a leader in this field, the book offers a deep and practical understanding of what supervision contributes to coaching quality and professional development.

Purchase information (hardcover and e-book) will follow shortly at the SWP website.

The Webinar-series Brain Smart, Practice Wise

A book starts a conversation. It rarely finishes one.

That is why — alongside the publication of the book — I am launching Brain Smart, Practice Wise: a series of ten free 60-minute webinars, each focussed on one chapter of the book.

The title reflects the perspective that has shaped my work for the past ten years at Attune: integrating coaching, supervision, and applied neuroscience to support meaningful professional learning and development for individuals and organizations.

Each session opens with a short presentation of the chapters’ key themes, followed by discussion, reflection, and exchange with participants.

The aim is simple: read the chapter, next deepen the learning together.

The series is designed for supervisors, coach educators, and professional coaches who are currently in supervision or considering it as part of their development.

You are warmly invited

📅 Every third Thursday of the month, starting 17 September 2026, 19:00–20:00 hrs CET 📍 Online via Zoom · 🎟 Free of charge · 📚 Ten sessions, one per chapter of the book.

Registration details will be announced on this page at the end of June.

I look forward to this conversation — with peers who care about coaching quality, reflective practice, professional development, and the future of supervision.

Stay tuned.
