My Individual Coaching is for high-achieving leaders, professional coaches and executives.

I help you restore clarity, energy and alignment in (self-) leadership and your professional roles(s).

These clients are ready to start leading from within, and work with their neurobiology and not against it.

The focus is often on questions related to well-being, resilience, learning & development, managing emotions and relations, and decision-making in life & work.

I  apply and combine concepts from professional supervision and coaching (such as Positive Psychology, Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSCC), Conversational Intelligence (C-IQ), Narrative Coaching (NC)) with brain based concepts and tools such as Whole Brain approach (WBT), Polyvagal Theory (PVT), NeuroZone Resilience Assessments, and several concepts based on Neuroplasticity.

ORSC®

The approach of Organization and RelationshipSystems  Coaching (ORSC) goes beyond Emotional Intelligence (EQ, the relationship with Self) and Social Intelligence (SQ, the relationship with others). ORSC  is about the relation between people, shifting the focus from the individual to the group, team or organization and the broader ec0system of relationships. This systemic approach creates lasting productive and resilient teams and organizations. The framework is developed by the Center for Right Relationships, CRRGlobal. Sonja Vlaar is ORSC-certified (2011) and was a board member of the Dutch community of ORSC professionals (2017 to 2020).

C-IQ®

Conversational Intelligence (C-IQ) is the natural and learned capacity to relate with others, to navigate and to grow. This capacity enhances building healthy and resilient organizations. C-IQ contributes to trust-building in relationships with conversations, and improves the quality of the interaction in conversations.

Sonja Vlaar is certified (2017) in Conversational Intelligence at the We-Institute.

In 2020 fourteen certified C-IQ professionals co-authored the book: Changing Conversations for a Changing World.  Sonja Vlaar is co-author author of the chapter  casestudie about “co-creation” and author of the chapter “inclusion and the brain“.

Narrative Coaching®

Narratives are the stories we live by — they play a central role in what it means to be human. They offer quick and powerful insight into how individuals perceive themselves and the world around them.

Narrative Coaching, developed by Dr. David Drake, integrates insights from the social sciences, including psychology, design thinking, and systemic approaches to behavioral change. This methodology is experiential by nature and mirrors the dynamic process of personal transformation.

Sonja Vlaar is a certified Enhanced Practitioner in Narrative Coaching (since 2018) and brings this approach into her work to help clients connect past experiences with present awareness and future possibilities.

NeuroZone®

A key objective for Attune’s clients is to prevent burnout, build and strengthen resilience, and unlock their potential for improved performance. The NeuroZone® approach links specific, recognizable behaviors — known as neuro-behaviours — to the human capacities essential for sustainable and optimal performance, at individual, team, and organizational levels.

Sonja Vlaar has been a certified Advanced NeuroZone Coach (NAC) since 2020 and an active member of the global NeuroZone coaching community.

Neuroplastician®

Since 2024, Sonja Vlaar is a certified as a Master Neuroplastician (M.npn) and vetted by the npn Institute for Applied and Organizational Neuroscience (ION). She contributes to the international community of Neuroplasticians (the npnHUB),  to the institutional development of ION. Since June 2025 she is also a curator of npn articles about applied neuroscience. This blog describes an introduction to the role of the neuroplastician.
