What Attune Stands For

Attune is the name of my business. The acronym A.T.T.U.N.E. reflects the foundational principles for presence in conversations:

Awareness, Turning toward the relationship,  Tolerance,  Understanding, Non-defensive listening, and Empathy.

This acronym originates from The Science of Trust by John M. Gottman (2011), and aligns deeply with my vision for connection, and meaningful professional conversations. In Dutch, attune translates as “afstemmen”—what means tuning in, aligning, and resonating with heart and mind.

My approach is grounded in creating a safe space for sustainable change:

• Listening for what truly connects
• Serving a shared purpose, not just an agenda
• Applying neuroplasticity, because our biology can change, so can your leadership
• Honoring biological needs, diversity and psychological safety
• Building trust in leaders that ripples through their teams.

The safety I create in a conversation doesn’t stay there. It travels.
